Creative Systems Architect

Alex LeBrun

The experience behind Raven Key Labs.

Alex LeBrun has spent three decades turning ambitious ideas into things people can see, navigate, build, operate, and remember. His work spans film and television, museums, live entertainment, hospitality, fabrication, and interactive systems.

The tools keep changing. The judgment doesn’t.

Chapter 02 The foundation

Three decades of making

A career built by making.

A decade at Universal Studios Hollywood added large-scale placemaking and themed environments, including graphic design, vendor management, and fabrication coordination for Super Nintendo World.

Sixteen years as Director of Production at Digital Plus brought work across museum exhibits, hospitality, film marketing, packaging, retail displays, and fabrication. Alex led production from concept through completion, connecting creative decisions with materials, machinery, schedules, and the people doing the work.

Independent production brought touring entertainment, discovery spaces, and broadcast sets. The work called for both creative judgment and hands-on technical skill: artwork and color, CNC toolpaths and materials, production schedules and the people building from them.

Alex’s experience runs from the shop floor to the production studio: design, materials, machinery, people, and the decisions that turn an idea into something that works.

Chapter 03 Selected work

Across media and materials

Work people step into.

A learning center, a live show, a television set, an illuminated interior. Each asks something different of the design and the way it gets made.

Museums, music & discovery.

Work includes the GRAMMY Museum and Ray Charles Museum, alongside natural history, science, cultural, and aquarium exhibits. Across these projects, Alex’s work spans exhibit graphics, interactive elements, image preparation, materials, CNC fabrication, and production coordination. At Hyperion’s Environmental Learning Center, he created and produced exhibit graphics, advised on production methods, and checked the work against construction plans.

Art, light & built environments.

Original artwork and hundreds of unique art-glass panels for Harrah’s Cherokee Casino sit within a broader body of architectural work: large-scale decorative lighting, simulated stained glass, themed interiors, and branded spaces. The portfolio extends into retail displays and healthcare environments, bringing together visual design, color, material selection, fabrication, and production detailing.

Screen, stage & live entertainment.

For The Marvel Experience, Alex managed graphics production and design for the traveling attraction. ESPN work included set elements and the Los Angeles Production Center’s branded interiors. Film and television production, scenic graphics, and touring experiences brought the same attention to artwork, scale, finish, and the practical demands of a show.

These are projects from Alex’s career across previous roles and independent production. That experience informs the work he leads at Raven Key Labs today.

Chapter 04 The method

From creative intent to buildable systems

Alex works at the seams between disciplines.

The recurring role is translation: carrying an idea through the people, systems, materials, reviews, failures, and field conditions required to make it real.

01

Creative

Art direction, visual systems, storytelling, and guest experience.

02

Technical

Specifications, materials, production packages, and constraints.

03

Operational

Scopes, contracts, vendors, schedules, installation, and upkeep.

04

Systemic

Workflows that make complexity understandable and actionable.

Now / Raven Key Labs

Now the ideas get built here.

Raven Key Labs applies that production judgment to AI-assisted tools, interactive experiences, creative systems, and working software. Alex defines the product direction, workflow architecture, creative and technical systems, quality boundaries, and the real-world experience the work is meant to create.

The technology changes. The standard does not: understand the problem, protect the intent, expose the tradeoffs, test the thing, and make it useful beyond the demo.

Alex also works fluently in English and Spanish.
